Investment Associate
Fictiv, a global supply chain technology company, is seeking an Investment Associate to join Misumi Ventures, its newly launched $50 million early-stage fund. The fund focuses on frontier hardware, robotics, automation, and industrial AI, aiming to build a portfolio of 20 to 30 seed and early-stage companies. As the first dedicated full-time investment professional, the Investment Associate will play a pivotal role in shaping the fund's strategy and operations.
In this role, the Investment Associate will be responsible for sourcing and maintaining relationships with investors across sectors, managing the fund's external presence through various channels, and conducting technical and commercial due diligence on potential investments. Additionally, the associate will support portfolio companies by connecting them with Misumi's engineering and sourcing teams and assisting with recruiting and subsequent financings. Fund operations and limited partner reporting will also be key aspects of the role.
Candidates should have two to four years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, or an operating role at a hardware or deep-tech company. A strong technical background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, robotics, manufacturing, or a related field is highly preferred. Excellent written communication skills are essential, as the role involves preparing memos, market analyses, and limited partner reports. Established relationships in the venture, engineering, or founder community are advantageous.
Compensation includes a base salary ranging from $125,000 to $150,000, depending on experience, along with carried interest in the fund. Benefits encompass health, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a 401(k) plan.
