Intake Specialist
Johnson Law Group, a nationally recognized personal injury firm with offices across the U.S. and the U.K., is seeking an experienced Intake Specialist to join their Houston office. This role is integral to the Personal Injury department, serving as the first point of contact for individuals seeking legal assistance. The firm is committed to delivering exceptional service and securing justice for individuals who have been wrongfully injured.
As an Intake Specialist, you will handle incoming calls with urgency, professionalism, and empathy, assessing case viability and converting qualified leads into signed clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough screenings of personal injury inquiries, maintaining high conversion rates, accurately inputting and updating client information into the firm's case management system, and coordinating with the daytime intake team, legal assistants, and paralegals to ensure seamless case handoff. You will also manage high call volumes, prioritize tasks in real time, and adhere to all intake protocols, scripts, compliance standards, and escalation procedures.
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience in a high-volume call environment, with a proven track record of high conversion rates in similar intake or call center roles. Excellent communication skills are essential, with the ability to de-escalate, empathize, and build quick rapport. Attention to detail and strong data-entry accuracy are crucial, as is the ability to handle fast-paced, high-volume environments. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
This is a full-time, onsite position in the Houston office, with a fixed schedule of 12:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., starting after 4 weeks of training.
