As the Insurance, Legal, and Policy Specialist at EverDriven, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's legal and policy initiatives. Reporting to the Chief Policy and Legal Officer, you will collaborate closely with departments such as Contract Management, Operations, Legal, and Finance to ensure that insurance coverage aligns with contractual and business requirements. Additionally, you will help foster a culture of risk awareness across the organization and provide administrative support at EverDriven's headquarters.

Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a Colorado insurance producer license, serving as the internal expert on insurance requirements related to vehicle operations and student transportation, and reviewing client and vendor contracts to assess insurance and risk-related provisions. You will manage all surety bonds, oversee the collection and validation of certificates of insurance, and coordinate with insurance brokers and carriers on policy matters. Furthermore, you will assist with legal research, draft and review commercial contracts focusing on insurance and liability provisions, and support compliance reviews and internal investigations. In the policy domain, you will monitor legislative and regulatory activities affecting student transportation, draft public comment letters, and maintain a policy compliance calendar.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience, along with a Colorado insurance producer license or the ability to obtain one. A strong understanding of insurance principles, legal research skills, and experience in contract review are essential. Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously are also required. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate across various departments are crucial for success in this role.

This position offers a salary range of $95,000 to $115,000 per year, based on experience, with additional bonus potential.
