Insurance Credit Associate (NY)
Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) is seeking an experienced professional to join its expanding global insurance ratings team as an Insurance Credit Associate. This role involves supporting the credit rating process for insurers and reinsurers in the U.S. and internationally, collaborating with senior staff and external stakeholders. The position is based in New York, offering a dynamic environment within a leading credit rating agency.
Key responsibilities include developing credit rating recommendations for new and existing ratings of (re)insurers and related debt securities. The associate will analyze financial statements, risk management frameworks, management strategies, and business plans of rated entities. Additional duties involve creating competitor overviews, authoring research reports on companies and industry topics, presenting findings at internal credit rating committees, and participating in external management meetings.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Math, or related fields, along with at least three years of experience in financial analysis, management reporting, or regulatory roles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, is required. Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and organizational skills are essential. A professional designation such as CFA, Actuarial, MBA, CPCU, CLU, FLMI, or FRM is a definite plus. Familiarity with Generative AI tools like ChatGPT for research and data insights is also advantageous.
The anticipated annual base salary for this full-time position ranges from $90,000 to $115,000, determined by factors such as experience, skills, and geography.
