Infrastructure Security Engineer
xAI is seeking a Cloud/Infrastructure Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud infrastructures across platforms such as AWS, GCP, and Azure. This role involves developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates with embedded security controls, conducting regular security assessments, and collaborating with development teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will also monitor and respond to security events, develop cloud security policies, and stay current with emerging threats and mitigation strategies.
Key responsibilities include designing secure cloud architectures, developing and maintaining IaC templates, conducting security assessments and audits, implementing and managing cloud security tools, collaborating with development teams, monitoring security events, and developing cloud security policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in cloud security or related roles. They should possess a strong understanding of cloud security principles, proficiency in at least one cloud platform and associated security services, experience with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, familiarity with containerization technologies, knowledge of network security concepts, and experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation and tool development.
Preferred qualifications include relevant security certifications (e.g., CCSP, CSSK, AWS Security Specialty), experience with multi-cloud environments, knowledge of DevSecOps practices, familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements, experience with Kubernetes and container security, and an interest in leveraging AI for cloud security monitoring and automation.
