This mid-level position reports directly to the Group Head of Legal and has a dotted line to the Country CEO, offering broad exposure across commercial, regulatory, and employment matters in a dynamic e-commerce environment.

The In-House Legal Counsel will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including client contracts, vendor agreements, partnership arrangements, and service agreements. They will also manage and maintain all corporate and operational licenses and permits required for the company’s business activities in the Philippines, monitor regulatory developments, and advise the business on compliance requirements. Additionally, the role involves providing legal advice on tax-related matters, managing pre-litigation disputes, and advising on employment-related matters.

Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a Philippine law school and be a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in good standing. A minimum of 5 years of post-admission experience in a law firm, in-house legal team, or a combination of both is required. Strong working knowledge of Philippine corporate, commercial, labor, and regulatory law is essential, with experience in e-commerce, technology, retail, or a regional business environment considered advantageous. The ideal candidate will have strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills in both English and Filipino and be commercially pragmatic, able to provide clear, practical legal advice.
