The Implementation Engineer (Media) at Monks serves as a vital link between business units, clients, and the core engineering team, ensuring that client requirements are accurately translated into scalable technical solutions. This role is deeply integrated within the Google AI ecosystem, focusing on rapid prototyping, testing, and validation of AI-driven workflows and solutions. Once these solutions are proven effective, the Implementation Engineer collaborates with the core engineering team to scale them across the broader system, empowering creative teams to effectively utilize AI tools and push the boundaries of innovation.

Key responsibilities include acting as the primary liaison between business units, clients, and the core engineering team to ensure technical deliverables meet user needs. The role involves collaborating with creative and operations teams to refine prompts, optimize system instructions, and enhance AI-driven experiences. Additionally, the Implementation Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining new AI agents and agentic flows within existing tools and environments using Google frameworks. Collecting and synthesizing user and business unit feedback into structured feature requests for the core engineering team, as well as maintaining clear documentation on implementations, configurations, and workflows for cross-team transparency, are also essential duties.

The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of AI systems, particularly within the Google AI ecosystem, including Vertex AI and Gemini. Hands-on experience with media buying APIs such as Meta, Google Ads, DV360, and TikTok is crucial for pulling performance data, automating bidding and budget updates, and supporting scalable campaign operations. Proficiency in prompt engineering, grounding, system instruction tuning, and AI agent configuration is required. Familiarity with API integrations, data workflows, and cloud-based architectures, especially Google Cloud, is essential. The candidate should have a proven ability to prototype quickly using tools such as Python, Apps Script, or no/low-code platforms, along with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to document, train, and enable non-technical users effectively.
