Immigration/Criminal Defense Attorney
The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, A.P.C. is seeking a dedicated Immigration/Criminal Defense Attorney to join our Los Angeles office. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in both criminal and immigration law within an established and growing firm. The successful candidate will report to the Supervising Attorney and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants committed to providing exceptional legal services.
The attorney will be responsible for managing a caseload that includes post-conviction relief cases such as motions to vacate, expungements, motions to reduce, and early termination of probation. Additionally, the role involves advising clients on their legal rights, drafting legal documents, attending motion hearings, handling open criminal cases—including arraignments, pre-trials, pleas, and sentencing—and performing legal research to analyze probable case outcomes.
Candidates should possess experience in criminal defense or immigration law, with a preference for those who have handled cases at the state and local levels. Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative team spirit, and a commitment to client service are essential. While bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred, it is not a requirement for this position.
The position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, with potential for higher compensation based on experience.
