HVAC Technician, Facility Management
The HVAC Technician role at Six Construct, a subsidiary of the BESIX Group, involves maintaining and servicing HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems within the company's diverse facilities. Key responsibilities include performing routine inspections and maintenance of systems such as chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and pumps. The technician is expected to respond promptly to breakdowns and service requests, diagnose faults, and carry out repairs or escalate issues to specialized contractors when necessary. Additionally, the role involves assisting in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
Candidates should possess a Diploma or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). The ability to read technical drawings and manuals, coupled with good communication and teamwork skills, is also required. A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar technical role is necessary, with experience in school or educational facility environments considered a plus.
