Human Resources Director
The Human Resources Director at Kogan & DiSalvo will lead HR operations across a growing, multi-office law firm. This role involves managing employee relations, overseeing recruiting operations, benefits management, payroll coordination, and onboarding and training programs. The Director will serve as a trusted HR partner to leadership while maintaining appropriate boundaries with staff.
Key responsibilities include leading HR operations, managing employee relations with professionalism and discretion, overseeing recruiting operations to ensure timely and organized hiring, managing benefits enrollment and renewals, coordinating payroll-related items, and improving onboarding and training programs. The Director will also be responsible for maintaining state and federal compliance across all employee files, policies, and HR processes.
The ideal candidate will have 7–10+ years of experience in HR, with broad generalist capabilities and hands-on execution. Certifications such as SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP are preferred. The candidate should have proven ability to hire for high-volume administrative and legal support roles, produce accurate work, spot errors quickly, and maintain high standards. A humble and professional demeanor, respect for the chain of command, and support for leadership without ego are essential. The candidate should also have a culture-focused approach, understanding how to lift morale, protect culture, and maintain boundaries.
