The HSEQ Systems Manager at BESIX Watpac plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company's Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) systems are current and compliant with relevant legislation, codes, standards, and accreditation schemes. Reporting to the National WHS Manager, this position is integral to maintaining safe and productive work environments across the organization.

Key responsibilities include consulting with internal stakeholders to understand the HSEQ system needs of various business units, developing and updating policies and procedures to keep the HSEQ systems current, and ensuring uniformity across the National HSEQ systems. The role also involves auditing compliance with HSEQ system requirements, providing guidance to stakeholders to ensure adherence, preparing for and attending external HSEQ system audits, and administering BESIX Watpac's digital safety platform.

Candidates should possess tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety (WHS) or Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), along with demonstrated experience in applying and managing HSEQ systems within the building and construction industry. Extensive knowledge of relevant WHS/OHS and Environmental Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards, and the Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (OFSC) WHS Accreditation Scheme is essential. Experience in conducting HSEQ system compliance audits and gap analyses to assess system compliance with various legislation, standards, and accreditation requirements is also required.
