Hoofdlaborant Forensische Toxicologie

Eurofins Forensics Belgium is seeking a Hoofdlaborant Forensische Toxicologie to lead the forensic toxicology department at their Brugge facility. Eurofins is an international life sciences company offering a wide range of analytical testing services to ensure product safety and authenticity across various industries. The forensic division provides comprehensive analyses and services to support criminal investigations and judicial proceedings.

In this role, you will oversee the preparation and revision of technical internal documents within the ISO 17025 accredited quality management system. Responsibilities include supervising the execution of analyses, evaluating quality controls, coordinating laboratory activities with stakeholders, and managing the daily operations of the forensic toxicology department. Additionally, you will be responsible for planning and adjusting analysts' schedules, providing technical information to the Quality Manager, and ensuring proper supervision and training of staff and interns.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Life Sciences, Forensic Science, Chemistry, Technical Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management. A proactive mindset, especially in new development areas, along with excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Proficiency in Dutch and English is required; knowledge of French is a plus. Strong analytical abilities, result orientation, and leadership skills are crucial, with at least five years of managerial experience being highly desirable. Experience with LC-MS is mandatory.
