Head of Client Engineering EMEA (m/w/d)
Vention is seeking a Head of Client Engineering EMEA to lead a team of Application Engineers in translating client requirements into validated 3D designs and technical proposals. This role is pivotal in managing the transition from order to successful deployment, ensuring the long-term technical health of client systems across the EMEA region. The position reports directly to the Managing Director EMEA.
Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive technical support to the regional sales team throughout the customer lifecycle, with a focus on complex pre-sales projects. The role involves coaching and developing a team of Solution Architects and Application Engineers, as well as representing Vention to strategically important clients and partners. Additionally, the position oversees the after-sales process, ensuring projects are delivered on time, with high quality, and to maximum customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in industrial automation and robotics, with a deep understanding of the EMEA manufacturing landscape. Proficiency with robotic systems such as UR, FANUC, and ABB, as well as motion control and PLC/logic programming, is essential. Experience in building and scaling engineering teams in fast-growing tech or industrial companies is required. Strong project management skills, including overseeing turnkey projects from initial concept to on-site commissioning, are also necessary. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in German or French is a significant advantage.
