Head of Client Engineering EMEA (m/f/d)
Vention is seeking a Head of Client Engineering EMEA (m/f/d) to lead a team of Application Engineers in translating client requirements into validated 3D designs and technical proposals. This role involves overseeing the transition from order to successful commissioning, ensuring long-term customer satisfaction across the EMEA region. The position reports directly to the Managing Director EMEA and is central to driving the introduction of innovative automation solutions in the European market.
Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive technical support to the regional sales team throughout the customer lifecycle, with a focus on complex pre-sales projects. The role also entails coaching, supporting, and continuously developing a team of Solution Architects and Application Engineers, as well as representing Vention to strategically important customers and partners. Additionally, the Head of Client Engineering will manage the transition from order to successful commissioning, ensuring projects are implemented on time, with high quality, and to maximum customer satisfaction.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in industrial automation and robotics, with a deep understanding of the manufacturing landscape in the EMEA region. Experience with robot systems such as UR, FANUC, and ABB, as well as motion control and PLC and logic programming, is required. Proven success in building and scaling engineering teams in technology or industrial companies is essential. The candidate should possess solid management experience, particularly in the pre-sales environment, and the ability to combine strategic visions with operational reality. Experience in implementing turnkey projects from the initial concept phase through FAT to on-site commissioning is also necessary. Fluent English is essential, and native-level German is a clear advantage. Additional soft skills such as business acumen, interdisciplinary thinking, strong customer orientation, and strong leadership skills are expressly welcome.
