Arista Networks is seeking a highly skilled Hardware Lab Rework Technician to join our hardware development team in Santa Clara, CA. This role is integral to our hardware prototyping process, working closely with Hardware Design Engineers and Signal Integrity Engineers to perform precise modifications on advanced networking hardware.

The primary responsibilities include executing complex rework on high-density, multi-layer PCBs (20+ layers) using advanced soldering and desoldering techniques. The technician will modify, repair, and assemble hardware systems based on engineering instructions and schematics, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability. Additional duties involve inspecting and verifying reworked boards, maintaining proper documentation, organizing lab equipment, and supporting system-level assembly and bring-up as needed.

Candidates should possess 3–5 years of hands-on experience in PCB rework and hardware lab environments, with strong proficiency in working with SMT components and fine-pitch/high-speed connectors. Expertise in soldering and desoldering techniques for complex boards is essential, along with familiarity with Windows-based systems, Microsoft Office, and email communication tools. The ability to read and follow technical instructions, schematics, and rework guidelines is required, as well as good communication skills and the capability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams. The role also requires the ability to lift and handle equipment up to 50 lbs.

The base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $110,000, depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and work location. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and equity.
