Canonical is seeking a Graduate Talent Scientist to join its Talent Science team, which is dedicated to implementing objective and scientifically rigorous processes for selecting top-tier talent across diverse locations and backgrounds. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the company's mission of delivering open-source software solutions to global enterprises.

In this position, you will learn to assess candidates using behavioral interview techniques, gain a deep understanding of workplace psychometrics, and work on enhancing hiring processes and documentation. Your responsibilities will include contributing to projects that drive successful hiring outcomes through advanced data analytics, building strong relationships with stakeholders to design and implement solutions for complex hiring challenges, and developing expertise in the company's systems to address hiring-related inquiries.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional academic record from high school and university, holding an undergraduate degree in psychology or a related field. Proficiency in data analysis using SQL is required, with additional skills in Python or advanced statistical analysis considered advantageous. Prior exposure to talent selection through coursework, internships, or initial work experience is essential. A passion for technology, strong project management abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work effectively in a remote environment are also key qualifications.

This remote position is available to candidates based in the EMEA region. The role offers opportunities for international travel 2-4 times a year for company events, occasionally for up to two weeks.
