Graduate Electrical Engineer

Graphcore is seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our Server Design team in Milpitas, California. As a new college graduate in Electrical or Computer Engineering, you will contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge AI servers and rack-level power distribution systems. You'll work alongside experienced engineers across electrical, mechanical, thermal, and validation disciplines to deliver high-performance, power-efficient designs that scale to meet the demands of modern AI workloads.

In this role, you will help design, review, and bring up complex server and rack-level boards, including high-speed signaling and power delivery. You will support component selection, signal integrity and power integrity analysis, and system-level integration to ensure quality and reliability. Collaborating with mechanical, thermal, and manufacturing teams, you will aim to achieve optimized, scalable, and testable designs. Additionally, you will perform lab validation and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other electrical test tools, and document and share design updates, validation results, and process improvements.

Candidates should hold or be on track to hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Knowledge of analog/digital circuit design and power distribution fundamentals is essential. Experience with schematic capture and PCB tools such as Cadence, Altium, or Mentor, and familiarity with high-speed interfaces like PCIe, DDR, or Ethernet are highly desirable. Strong skills in lab testing, communication, and teamwork will also be beneficial.
