Global Sourcing Manager - Rack and Mechanicals
Graphcore is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager – Rack & Mechanicals to lead the sourcing strategy and supplier engagement for rack infrastructure and mechanical hardware components supporting its AI infrastructure platforms. This role is integral to Graphcore's mission of developing hardware, software, and systems infrastructure that unlock the next generation of AI breakthroughs and power the widespread adoption of AI solutions across various industries.
The Global Sourcing Manager will be responsible for strategic sourcing activities related to rack and mechanical hardware components. Key responsibilities include developing and executing multi-year commodity strategies aligned with engineering roadmaps, translating technical specifications into sourcing strategies, leading complex commercial negotiations, building cost models, securing supply continuity through capacity planning and risk management, conducting executive supplier business reviews, and ensuring supplier agreements protect Graphcore's long-term commercial interests.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related technical field, along with over 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing or technical procurement. Essential qualifications include strong sourcing experience related to rack infrastructure and mechanical hardware components, a proven track record in negotiating complex supplier agreements, the ability to translate technical product requirements into commercial sourcing strategies, strong financial acumen including cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis, and excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Graphcore offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $123,000 to $177,000 per year, as estimated by Glassdoor.
