Global Sourcing Director - Networking
Graphcore is seeking a Global Sourcing Director – Networking to lead the strategic sourcing and supplier engagement strategy for networking technologies supporting its AI infrastructure platforms. This role collaborates closely with Engineering, Product, and Executive Leadership to secure optimal capacity, cost, and delivery performance for critical networking components and systems, facilitating global infrastructure deployment.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing multi-year supplier and commodity strategies aligned with engineering roadmaps, leading complex executive-level negotiations for long-term supply agreements and capacity reservations, and influencing supplier ecosystems and technology roadmaps in line with internal product strategies. The role also involves driving cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal, building cost models, implementing should-cost frameworks, ensuring supply continuity through capacity planning and risk mitigation, and conducting executive supplier business reviews to monitor performance and drive improvements.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related technical discipline, along with 12–15+ years of experience in technical and commercial sourcing within complex technology environments. Experience in negotiating large-scale, multi-year supply agreements with strategic technology suppliers, strong expertise in sourcing networking technologies or related infrastructure platforms, robust financial acumen including cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis, and excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders are essential.
