Wave is seeking a Global Head of Marketing to lead its marketing initiatives across Payments, Growth, and other core teams. This strategic role involves shaping cost-effective brand strategies, spearheading go-to-market plans for new products, and managing both internal marketing teams and external partners. The position reports directly to Wave's General Manager of Growth.

Key responsibilities include building and mentoring a high-performing marketing team focused on ambitious growth targets, fostering collaboration with other departments, and managing relationships with external marketing agencies and PR teams. The role also entails developing and executing multi-channel product marketing strategies, with a primary focus on high-impact offline channels such as billboards, radio, and BTL activations, supported by social media content strategies and influencer initiatives. Additionally, the Global Head of Marketing will monitor campaign effectiveness, optimize marketing performance, and oversee brand efforts to ensure consistent and impactful communications across all materials and touchpoints.

Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in marketing within FMCG, tech start-ups, telco companies, or similar industries, with a proven track record in developing or executing B2C marketing strategies in Africa. Fluency in both English and French is required, along with a willingness to travel frequently to operating markets. Strong storytelling abilities, both written and verbal, are essential.

This fully remote role offers a yearly $1,200 stipend to support coworking meetups with teammates.
