Workstream is seeking a Global Business Operations Team Lead to oversee our Global Data Operations. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between front-line contributors and our business operations, managing the entire lifecycle of Video Data Contributors. This includes identifying high-potential candidates, guiding them through onboarding, overseeing their daily output, and verifying their hours for payment.
Key responsibilities encompass real-time communication and support, such as moderating team chats, addressing equipment setup inquiries, and broadcasting project updates to maintain a supportive team culture. You will perform daily quality assurance checks on video submissions to ensure they meet AI training requirements and provide constructive feedback to contributors. Collaborating with the Recruiting team, you will assist in hiring new team members, guide new hires through the onboarding process, and identify at-risk contributors to ensure they stay on track. Additionally, you will audit weekly timesheets, submit reports to the Finance department, and resolve any pay-related discrepancies promptly.
The ideal candidate has over 3 years of experience leading remote or BPO teams, preferably in marketplace operations, gig economy management, or data labeling. You should be a proficient communicator, adept at managing high-volume messaging, and highly skilled with Google Workspace, Greenhouse, and smartphone camera settings. A people-first approach is essential, with a focus on coaching and maintaining team cohesion. Reliability and availability during US business hours are crucial, along with exceptional English proficiency and a suitable remote working environment.
