The Global Bookkeeper role is pivotal in stabilizing the firm's financial operations and ensuring accurate accounting practices. This position involves conducting thorough audits and cleanups of existing QuickBooks files, managing IOLTA account handling, trust transfers, and three-way reconciliations to mitigate compliance risks. Additionally, the role includes clarifying revenue and expense tracking, providing comprehensive documentation of corrections, and preparing the firm for a system migration to MyCase.
Candidates should possess proven experience with QuickBooks Online cleanup projects, with certification being highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in three-way reconciliations and compliance with IOLTA requirements is essential, along with strong analytical skills to diagnose financial discrepancies and implement effective solutions. The role requires autonomy, clear communication abilities, and readiness to work independently in a remote environment. This is a 3–4 month contract role focused on completing a defined accounting cleanup project, with potential for additional work depending on future needs.
