GL Accountant
Intercom is seeking a General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in San Francisco, California. The GL Accountant will be responsible for assisting in day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal policies, and external audits. Key duties include preparing account reconciliations, posting monthly journal entries for assigned accounts, and collaborating with various teams such as FP&A, Payroll, and Accounts Payable to ensure accurate transaction recording. Additionally, the role involves participating in internal and external audits by preparing deliverables and responding to auditors' inquiries, as well as optimizing and automating processes to improve the efficiency of the monthly close process and internal and external reporting requirements.
Candidates should possess 2-3 years of experience in public accounting and/or industry, with a strong understanding of accounting principles including US GAAP. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, and a CPA qualification is a strong plus. Proficiency in NetSuite and FloQast is advantageous, along with excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills. The ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness, strong problem-solving skills, and the capacity to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment are essential.

The base salary range for candidates within the San Francisco Bay Area is $117,000-$147,000, with actual base pay depending on factors such as education, skills, experience, and location. All regular employees may also be eligible for the corporate bonus program or stock in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
