Canonical is seeking a GitOps Engineering Manager to lead a high-performance team in pioneering advanced DevOps and GitOps practices. This role involves managing operations, software engineering, and product development within a globally distributed company renowned for its open-source software and operating systems. The position is remote, based in the APAC and EMEA regions.

The GitOps Engineering Manager will lead daily agile DevOps practices, represent the Information Systems team to stakeholders, and coordinate internal projects. Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, implementing structured engineering processes, and ensuring the team meets service level agreements for customer deployments worldwide. The role emphasizes delivering quality managed services consistently and timely.

Candidates should have a proven track record of exceeding expectations, experience in software delivery using infrastructure as code, and managing DevOps teams for SaaS or similar offerings. An understanding of testing methodologies, complex distributed systems, and cloud technologies is essential. The role requires the ability to travel twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
