Geotechnisch Ingenieur
As a Geotechnical Engineer at BESIX Nederland, you will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of complex infrastructure projects. Collaborating closely with the Dutch engineering team and colleagues in Brussels, you will translate soil investigations into safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Your work will span the entire project lifecycle, from tender phase to execution and aftercare, with a strong emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and risk management.
Your key responsibilities will include conducting geotechnical engineering for both offshore and onshore applications, developing and interpreting soil investigation programs, and performing stability analyses of slopes in both temporary and permanent situations. You will design and analyze retaining structures such as sheet piles, retaining walls, and ground anchors, as well as handle foundation and dewatering techniques. Additionally, you will create geotechnical models and risk analyses, assess settlements, stability, and bearing capacity of the subsoil, and prepare geotechnical reports and assessment documents. Supporting execution and tender teams with technical input, coordinating soil investigations and monitoring programs, contributing to knowledge development within the team, mentoring junior engineers, and identifying optimizations and innovations within the field are also part of your role.
To be successful in this position, you should have a completed education in civil engineering, industrial engineering in construction, geology, or geo-environmental technology, along with at least four years of relevant work experience in geotechnics. Proficiency in Dutch and professional working proficiency in English are required. You should be a specialist in your field and actively seek to deepen your knowledge.
