Geospatial Reasoning Specialist (Senior) - Freelance AI Trainer Project
The Geospatial Reasoning Specialist (Senior) will play a pivotal role in developing a geospatial reasoning agent focused on crisis response. This initiative aims to enhance AI systems' ability to understand, assess, and predict real-world events characterized by uncertain or incomplete data. The specialist will collaborate closely with a dedicated team to guide model development and evaluation, laying the groundwork for advanced geospatial reasoning and forecasting applications.
Key responsibilities include evaluating AI-generated outputs to identify analytical weaknesses and designing metrics and test cases that improve model understanding and predictive accuracy. The specialist will review geospatial scenarios, validate model outputs, and define and refine reasoning frameworks. Collaboration with the team to enhance data-driven evaluations is also a critical aspect of the role.
Candidates must possess deep experience in geospatial analysis, crisis response, or related domains such as damage assessment, agriculture, site selection, supply chain optimization, or forecasting. Professional experience with geospatial analysis, GIS systems, or spatial modeling within industries like crisis management, logistics, or environmental planning is essential. Strong reasoning skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex spatial relationships clearly are required. Proficiency with geospatial tools and libraries such as QGIS, ArcGIS, GDAL, or PostGIS is preferred.
The position offers a pay rate of $24 per hour, with the exact rate determined based on the candidate's experience, expertise, and geographic location. As a contractor, the specialist is expected to provide a secure computer and high-speed internet connection. Company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and paid time off do not apply to this role.
This opportunity allows experienced geospatial professionals to contribute to the forefront of AI development, specifically in enhancing crisis response capabilities. The role offers the chance to work remotely with a collaborative team dedicated to advancing intelligent systems capable of supporting real-time global decision-making.
