General Liability Senior Attorney
Wilson Elser, a prominent defense litigation law firm with over 1,400 attorneys across 43 offices nationwide, is seeking a General Liability Senior Attorney for its Las Vegas office. This role offers experienced litigators the opportunity to handle complex defense cases and collaborate with a team dedicated to excellence and client service.
The General Liability Senior Attorney will independently manage a diverse litigation caseload from inception through resolution. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda; attending court hearings, depositions, and mediations; and collaborating effectively with colleagues across departments and offices to ensure cohesive case management. The attorney will also communicate regularly with clients, providing status reports and strategic advice.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to practice in Nevada. A minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience is required, with a preference for those experienced in catastrophic injury, product liability, construction defect, habitability, transportation, or other general liability matters. Strong analytical skills, superior written and oral communication abilities, and experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions are essential. Experience with cross-examining witnesses and handling court appearances is preferred, and second-chair trial experience is a plus.
