The General Counsel at Energy Solutions serves as the company's most senior legal leader and a strategic partner to the C-Suite. This role is responsible for setting the legal vision for the organization and translating that vision into practical strategies that protect the company and accelerate its growth. The General Counsel leads and develops the Legal Team, including the Contracts and Compliance functions, and is accountable for building a high-performing, business-oriented legal organization.

Key responsibilities include serving as strategic counsel to leadership on legal and regulatory developments, partnering with the executive team to manage enterprise legal risk, evaluating contracts to identify legal and commercial risks, and designing contract structures that enable growth while protecting the company. Additionally, the General Counsel leads, mentors, and develops the Legal, Contracts, and Compliance team, shapes organizational contract requirements and policies, determines litigation and dispute resolution strategies, and manages outside counsel as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and have a minimum of 10 years of legal experience, with in-depth expertise in contract negotiations and commercial law. Legal leadership experience, including supervising attorneys and contracts professionals, is essential. The candidate should have a proven track record of building and mentoring high-performing legal teams, exceptional communication skills, strong legal writing and project management abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management platforms. The ability to work well with diverse team members and thrive independently is also important.

The salary range for this role is $195,000 to $270,000, with a target compensation of $195,000 to $232,000 plus bonus, based on experience and qualifications.
