Fullstack Engineer - Education (Spanish Bilingual)
As a Fullstack Engineer at xAI, you will be instrumental in developing AI-powered educational platforms that deliver personalized learning experiences. This role involves working within a dynamic team dedicated to creating scalable systems that integrate advanced AI capabilities to enhance user engagement and educational outcomes. xAI is committed to building AI systems that accurately understand the universe and aid humanity in its pursuit of knowledge.
In this position, you will be responsible for building and maintaining fullstack features, including user dashboards, personalized experiences, content delivery, interactive tools, assessments, and real-time analytics. You will develop backend services, APIs, and data models to support high-volume, multi-user environments, and integrate AI capabilities such as tutoring, content generation, and personalization deeply into the platform. Collaborating closely with product, design, AI, and domain experts, you will iterate rapidly based on user feedback and outcome data to ensure the platform is performant, secure, reliable, and scalable for broad deployment.
The ideal candidate is an experienced fullstack engineer comfortable owning features across the entire stack, including frontend, backend, and database. You should be proficient in modern web technologies such as TypeScript/React/Next.js on the frontend and Python/FastAPI or similar on the backend. A strong generalist who can fluidly move between UI/UX implementation, API design, data modeling, and systems architecture is essential. Solid experience with relational databases and designing schemas for complex domains, along with a good eye for UX design and strong attention to detail, are also required. Familiarity with large-scale user-facing applications or domain-specific platforms is a strong plus. Additionally, full professional fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages, is necessary. Willingness and ability to travel frequently to the customer site in El Salvador and/or work onsite as required by project needs are also expected.
The annual salary range for this position is $180,000 to $440,000 USD.
