Frontend Engineer
Lightning AI is seeking a Frontend Engineer to enhance and scale the user interface and frontend infrastructure of our platform. As the company behind PyTorch Lightning, we provide an end-to-end solution for developing, training, and deploying AI systems, aiming to streamline the journey from research to production. This role offers the opportunity to significantly impact how AI is built and deployed across various industries.
In this position, you will be responsible for writing efficient, testable code using React and Redux to deliver new features, improve system stability, and boost overall performance. Collaborating closely with engineering and product leaders, you will help develop the user interface and frontend infrastructure, setting the technical direction for substantial projects. Your duties will also include evaluating and documenting technical architecture, tools, and processes, as well as championing software quality through automation and continuous delivery practices. Additionally, you will mentor and coach engineers on system design and problem-solving, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for growth.
The ideal candidate will have proficiency in React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, along with a strong understanding of software engineering principles and the software development lifecycle. Hands-on experience as a frontend engineer in a SaaS technology company is essential. You should demonstrate the ability to take ownership of key features and drive their development from inception to completion. Effective communication and collaboration skills with engineers, product managers, and designers are crucial, as is the capacity to operate effectively in high-uncertainty and rapidly changing environments.
We offer a competitive base salary ranging from $120,000 to $250,000, complemented by a discretionary bonus and meaningful equity components.
