Food Scientist

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Food Scientist to join our team in Ithaca, NY. This role involves leading the development of new food products from initial concept through to plant scale-up, working within a dynamic team dedicated to delivering high-quality analytical testing services across multiple industries.

The Food Scientist will be responsible for planning and executing experimental, analytical, and sensory work on both bench and pilot scales. Key duties include developing analytical methods, coordinating nutritional and component analyses, and writing comprehensive reports ready for client review. The role also involves coordinating pilot and plant trials, serving as a liaison between manufacturing plants, clients, and the development laboratory.

Candidates should possess a PhD degree from an IFT-accredited food science program or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Non-PhD candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of practical experience in product or process development. Authorization to work in the US without restriction or sponsorship is required.

The position offers a salary range of $72,000 to $100,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, and paid vacation and holidays.
