Fleet Manager - Penticton, Canada (Contract)
Bird, a global leader in micromobility, is seeking a Fleet Manager in Penticton, Canada, to oversee the local fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes. This independent contractor role is vital to ensuring the community has access to safe, fully charged, and well-positioned vehicles. Bird operates in over 200 cities worldwide, partnering closely with local communities to provide sustainable transportation solutions.
As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for transporting, deploying, relocating, and retrieving e-scooters and e-bikes across Penticton daily. You will also ensure timely maintenance and repairs to uphold brand standards and rider safety. Managing the end-to-end operation of your assigned portfolio, you will ensure vehicles are available in high-demand areas and address any operational challenges that arise.
Ideal candidates should have access to at least one large vehicle (van or truck) suitable for transporting multiple scooters or bikes. A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean driving record is required. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and a flexible schedule, including weekends, are essential. Comfort with mobile tools for fleet management and strong knowledge of Penticton's local geography are also important.
This is a revenue-share opportunity where earnings are directly tied to output. Based on a fleet volume of approximately 300 vehicles daily, this role offers an earning potential of $1,500 per week, with the opportunity to earn significantly more based on speed and performance. As an independent contractor, you will manage your own schedule and workload to meet the operational needs of the market.
