Finance Reporting Manager
The Finance Reporting Manager at Eurofins is responsible for overseeing accounting and tax matters within their designated scope, ensuring compliance with established processes. This role involves managing the Shared Service Center (SSC) teams in Portugal and facilitating effective communication between SSC accountants and operational sites. The manager serves as the primary contact for operational teams on complex accounting issues and leads the general accounting production at the SSC in Braga, including monthly reporting from Day -6 to Day +4.
Key responsibilities include managing monthly closings in accordance with the Group Corporate Agenda deadlines, reviewing main accounting cycles such as sales revenue recognition, purchases, payroll reconciliation, and fixed assets. The role also involves submitting reporting packages to the group, ensuring the reliability of complex forms like Tax Proof and retirement indemnity provisions, and performing quality control on review files and account reconciliations. Additionally, the manager is tasked with establishing statutory accounts, managing legal audits, ensuring compliance with tax obligations, executing complex processes like retirement provisions, monitoring IFRS 16 compliance, providing regular training to SSC staff, and leading meetings with General Management and Management Controllers.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, such as Diplôme de Comptabilité et de Gestion or Diplôme Supérieur de Comptabilité et de Gestion, or a Master's in Accounting, Control, and Audit. A professional experience of 5 to 10 years in a similar role, within an accounting firm or in auditing, is required. Previous experience or training in team management is essential. Proficiency in English (reading and writing) and advanced skills in office automation tools, particularly Microsoft Excel, and accounting software are necessary.
