Finance Manager - Contract
The Financial Controlling team at Monks is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the APAC entities and consolidating the divisional results of the DDM and Content practices. Operating in an international environment, the team collaborates closely with various departments, including local finance teams, the S4 group team, FP&A, MDs, tax, legal, and HR. The Finance Manager will have financial controlling responsibilities for various entities in APAC and will work with local finance teams across the world, including the US, LATAM, APAC, and EMEA. This role focuses on financial reporting, alignment, process improvements, and integration due to the company's acquisitions. The position reports to the APAC Financial Controller based in Singapore.
Key responsibilities include supporting and mentoring the local APAC accounting team to ensure timely and quality financial reporting, analyzing and reviewing monthly reporting packages for entities within different company groups, and leading the monthly consolidation process and intercompany reconciliations. The Finance Manager will act as the main contact for the financial reporting tool and drive improvements in current working practices. Liaising with various stakeholders, including local finance teams, the S4 group team, FP&A, MDs, tax, legal, and HR, is essential. The role also involves ensuring compliance with accounting and reporting standards, overseeing the group audit process, assisting with monthly board reporting, implementing new finance systems, and contributing to process documentation and improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, or an equivalent field, along with over six years of experience, preferably in a high-growth, international company. Experience within a transformation environment is highly valued. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in IFRS, and excellent communication abilities with both financial and non-financial professionals are essential. The candidate should be capable of working in a dynamic environment and handling stressful situations with a positive attitude. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
This is a 3-month or 6-month fixed-term contract based in either Sydney or Melbourne.
