The Finance Legal Entity Lead at Waymo is a pivotal role within the Finance and Accounting team, responsible for establishing and overseeing financial operations in new international markets. This position involves ensuring regulatory compliance and managing cross-functional dependencies to support Waymo's global expansion. The role reports directly to the Head of Finance Operations and requires a strategic approach to financial infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities include developing a roadmap for financial operations in new markets, driving high-stakes financial infrastructure projects from conception to launch, and creating scalable frameworks for global corporate functions. The position also entails serving as the central lead for entity setup and ongoing compliance, collaborating with departments such as Tax, Treasury, Legal, HR, and International Controllership to maintain statutory and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role involves aligning local requirements with global SAP S/4HANA capabilities and identifying and mitigating operational, regulatory, and trade risks.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, or Business Enablement, with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs, such as ERP rollouts, M&A integrations, or new market entries, is essential. The role requires the ability to lead effective, outcome-driven meetings with cross-functional and executive stakeholders and extensive experience collaborating with international teams and diverse stakeholder groups. A deep understanding of US GAAP/IFRS and experience aligning business requirements with tier-one ERP capabilities, preferably SAP, are also necessary.

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is $190,000 to $241,000 USD annually. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo's discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
