Finance Lead
Hyphen Connect is a pioneering Bitcoin Layer 2 project committed to enhancing the utility of the world's leading digital asset. As the company expands its ecosystem, it seeks a Finance Lead to anchor its financial operations. This role is pivotal in merging traditional financial practices with the dynamic realm of Bitcoin-native finance, ensuring precise accounting and efficient payroll systems for a globally distributed team.
The Finance Lead will oversee the complete accounting cycle, managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining the general ledger, and executing month-end closings for both fiat and Bitcoin-denominated transactions. Responsibilities include administering global crypto-to-fiat payroll, handling multi-currency distributions, and monitoring the project's liquid assets to ensure secure storage and timely fiat conversions for operational needs. Additionally, the role involves implementing and optimizing crypto-native accounting software to automate transaction reconciliation and reporting, while collaborating with external partners to ensure compliance with international tax laws and reporting standards related to digital assets.
Candidates should possess over five years of professional experience in finance or accounting roles, with proven proficiency in both crypto accounting tools (such as Bitwave, Cryptio, Tres) and traditional platforms (like QuickBooks, Xero). Direct experience in managing international payroll involving digital assets and fiat currencies is essential. A strong understanding of Bitcoin-native concepts, including UTXOs, the Lightning Network, and Layer 2 scaling solutions, is required. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is necessary, and professional certifications like CPA or ACCA are advantageous.
