Finance Controller
Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Finance Controller to join its finance team in Spain, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting, financial planning and analysis, and ensuring compliance within the professional business sector in Spain. This role is integral to maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the company.
Key responsibilities include ensuring full compliance with internal and external reporting requirements, aligning processes with Group Financial policies and local regulations. The Finance Controller will collaborate with various departments, including Legal, Tax, Payroll, and Purchasing teams, to coordinate and manage internal and external audits for the relevant legal entities. Additionally, the role involves supporting internal control improvements, defining action plans to enhance internal processes and information flow, and ensuring key performance indicators are effectively reported and communicated to stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CCA certificate considered a plus. A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in financial and accounting planning is required, along with 2-3 years of demonstrable work experience as an auditor in a multinational company. Proficiency in managing Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Profit and Loss statements is essential, as is experience with month-end closing processes. Solid experience with AX2012 or Microsoft Navision and advanced Excel skills are necessary. Experience with the COUPA purchasing system is advantageous. Excellent communication skills are required to ensure effective interaction at all organizational levels, with fluency in the local language and English being mandatory.
