POSITION OVERVIEW

The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and team supervision in a fully remote environment. This role will play a critical part in supporting Sentient's financial infrastructure as we scale our foundation and ecosystem initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and supervise daily accounting operations across the organization

- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards

- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and compliance

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including crypto and foundation-specific accounting considerations

- Provide accounting support to internal stakeholders across business development, operations, and ecosystem teams

- Facilitate cross-departmental financial collaboration in a remote-first environment

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- 5+ years of experience in accounting, with supervisory responsibility

- Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and modern accounting software

- Ability to deliver high-quality results within tight timeframes

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Fluency in English (written and verbal)

NICE TO HAVE

- Audit background (Big 4 or equivalent experience preferred)

- Experience with crypto/Web3 accounting, including token economics and foundation structures

- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification
