Finance and Accounting Manager
Affinidi is seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager to lead the financial strategy and operations of our rapidly growing technology company in Singapore. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role offers the opportunity to drive financial reporting, planning, and compliance across our global entities. As a senior individual contributor, you will have end-to-end ownership of finance operations, with the potential to build and lead a team as the business scales.
Key responsibilities include managing comprehensive accounting and finance functions such as financial planning, budgeting, reporting, variance analysis, and forecasting for entities within the group. You will oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, collaborating with external accounting vendors to ensure timely and accurate closures. Additionally, you will lead annual audits, coordinate ESOP valuations with external vendors, and prepare management, board, investor, and statutory financial reports. Your role will also involve analyzing past results, performing variance analyses, and providing recommendations for improvements.
The ideal candidate holds a Chartered Accountant designation and/or a degree in Accountancy, with over 10 years of commercial and/or audit experience. A strong understanding of IFRS and SFRS is essential, and familiarity with Indian and German accounting standards is advantageous. Experience in maintaining full sets of accounts for multiple entities, including consolidation and audits, preferably within technology start-ups, is highly valued. Proficiency in drafting financial statements, projection modeling, and a proven track record in automation and process improvement are also important. Familiarity with Netsuite and AI tools to drive operational efficiencies will be considered a plus.
