Field Specialist Water & Heat
BESIX Unitec is seeking a Field Specialist to join their Technical Projects - Water & Heat division. This role focuses on electro-mechanical projects, including PFAS water treatment installations, heat extraction systems, water production and pumping stations, and tunnel ventilation systems. The Field Specialist will be integral to the company's mission of delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions in Belgium, the Netherlands, and beyond.
The primary responsibilities include understanding the operation of electro-mechanical projects, particularly in PFAS water treatment and heat extraction installations. The specialist will monitor performance, conduct maintenance tasks, and participate in commissioning these installations to build comprehensive knowledge for future troubleshooting. Additionally, the role involves diagnosing and proactively detecting complex and routine issues, implementing necessary actions, and ensuring effective communication regarding incidents and interventions with clients and internal project teams.
Candidates should possess a relevant higher education degree in electromechanics or equivalent experience. A strong mechanical background is essential, along with familiarity with PLCs, industrial networks, SCADA systems, and electrical hardware. The ability to read electrical schematics, structured and organized work habits, and excellent communication and customer-oriented skills are required. Fluency in Dutch and English is necessary, with French being a plus, and a valid driver's license (B) is mandatory.
