Field Operations Manager - (New Grad- MBA)
As the Director of Facility Operations at Hut 8, you will oversee the performance, uptime, and efficiency of our mining site portfolio. This hands-on leadership role requires managing operations across multiple sites, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives while maintaining on-the-ground execution excellence. The position is based in Miami, Florida, with regular travel to mining sites in Texas, Canada, and New York.
Key responsibilities include driving performance metrics such as uptime and hashrate efficiency, collaborating with site leadership to maintain high-performing operations, and developing standardized operating procedures across all mining sites. You will also lead site deployment efforts, address infrastructure-related issues, oversee maintenance programs, and analyze performance data to implement improvements. Additionally, recruiting and developing site leadership teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability is essential.
The ideal candidate possesses 3-7 years of experience leading operational teams in geographically dispersed environments, with a background in mining operations, data center operations, or large-scale infrastructure environments being advantageous. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Science, or a related field is preferred. Strong understanding of power infrastructure and cooling systems, a hands-on leadership style, and the ability to operate in 24x7 environments are critical. Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build and lead high-performing teams are also required.
