Field CTO - America Industries
Databricks is seeking a Field Chief Technology Officer (Field CTO) for the Americas Industries Business Unit. This senior, customer-facing role focuses on driving technology and business transformation for strategic, often global, accounts in regulated industries. The position involves collaborating with C-level executives to implement multi-year changes on the data platform, while conveying real-world requirements back to Databricks.
Key responsibilities include building and maintaining trusted relationships with C-level executives in large U.S.-based and global accounts, particularly in highly regulated industries such as financial services, public sector, healthcare, and manufacturing. The Field CTO will lead C-level briefings, strategy sessions, and workshops that align business outcomes and regulatory constraints with Databricks-based roadmaps. Additionally, the role involves serving as a technical counterpart in the field, engaging with architects, data engineers, and data scientists on solution design and trade-offs.
The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in enterprise technology and consulting, including leading or advising on multi-year data platform and analytics transformations in large, complex organizations. Experience within large enterprise software or cloud companies, particularly in roles requiring navigation of matrixed organizations and driving change at scale, is essential. Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations affecting data and AI platforms in regulated industries is also required.
Databricks offers a competitive salary range for this position, with compensation between $216,000 and $302,400 per year, plus equity. The total compensation package may also include eligibility for an annual performance bonus and comprehensive benefits.
