The Facility Operations Manager at Oklo is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of the company's radioisotope production facility in Lockhart, Texas. This role involves leading day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with technical, operational, and regulatory requirements, and guiding the facility through its transition from construction completion to commissioning and full operational status. The position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of Atomic Alchemy, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oklo.

Key responsibilities include providing overall leadership for the facility's safe and reliable operation, directing daily operations and maintenance activities, and leading the transition from commissioning to initial startup. The manager will establish and enforce operational standards and procedures, oversee shift operations and maintenance activities, and serve as the primary onsite authority for operational decision-making. Additionally, the role involves ensuring personnel are properly trained and qualified, monitoring facility performance indicators, supporting regulatory interfaces, and driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or science, hold or have held a Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) certification or NRC License for a similar reactor facility, and have a minimum of four years of supervisory or management experience. Previous experience in commercial nuclear plants or research and test reactors is preferred. The role requires strong cross-functional experience, the ability to coordinate across engineering, operations, maintenance, and regulatory interfaces, and a deep commitment to operational excellence.
