Fabrication Lead
The Fabrication Lead at Oklo is responsible for leading a team of fabricators, collaborating with engineering teams to review technical drawings, and ensuring that fabricated parts meet design specifications. This role involves close coordination with production, machining, and assembly teams to source necessary materials and equipment for product development. Additionally, the Fabrication Lead oversees the site's machining capabilities and partners with the Lead Machinist to ensure timely delivery of parts that meet quality standards.
Key responsibilities include supervising and guiding the fabrication team, developing work schedules, and assigning tasks based on priorities and deadlines. The role also involves implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, coordinating workflow within the fabrication department, and overseeing the maintenance and operation of fabrication equipment. Managing inventory of raw materials, enforcing safety protocols, and identifying process improvements to enhance efficiency are also essential duties.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in a fabrication-based leadership role, along with certifications such as Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), and Certified Welder (CW). Additional qualifications like Certified Radiographic Interpreter (CRI) or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) are considered advantageous. Strong leadership skills, the ability to build and inspire a technical team, and a passion for clean energy are essential attributes.
