Export Customs Compliance Analyst
The Export Customs Compliance Analyst at Intuitive is responsible for managing daily import and export operations within the Americas region. This role serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to import, export, and trade regulations, ensuring compliance with company policies and international trade laws. The analyst works closely with customs brokers and forwarders to facilitate the efficient flow of goods.
Key responsibilities include performing import/export activities in compliance with government regulations and organizational policies, managing daily trade compliance operations for export transactions, and monitoring transactions for adherence to export control laws, sanctions, and embargoes. The analyst also responds to inquiries from partners and agencies regarding customs clearance and government agency holds, provides support for export shipments to meet regulatory requirements, and ensures accurate and timely submission of Importer Security Filings for inbound ocean freight.
The ideal candidate possesses strong knowledge of trade compliance principles, including customs valuation, incoterms, licenses and permits, country of origin, HTS/ECCN classifications, duty optimization, export controls, and sanctions. Familiarity with customs regulations and other government agencies' importing regulations is essential. The role requires analytical and change management skills, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and experience in risk management processes and gap analysis. Proficiency in databases, enterprise resource planning systems, global trade automation solutions, and the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) functionality is also required.
Compensation for this position varies by region. In Region 1, the base salary ranges from $94,800 to $136,400 annually, while in Region 2, it ranges from $80,600 to $115,900 annually.
