Executive Editor
FeverUp is seeking an experienced Executive Editor to lead the creation of compelling content for our media outlets as we expand into new markets. Reporting directly to the VP of Media, this role involves managing a growing team of editors, writers, video producers, and social media creatives within the Secret Media Network, which includes platforms like Secret London, Secret Chicago, and Secret NYC. FeverUp is a leading global live-entertainment discovery platform dedicated to democratizing access to culture and entertainment through innovative technology and data-driven approaches.
The Executive Editor will oversee content strategy and execution for regions including India, the United Arab Emirates, and upcoming markets across Europe and Asia. Key responsibilities include one-on-one team management, ensuring clear workflows, and providing individual feedback. The role involves crafting and executing a creative vision for the Secret Media Network, collaborating with various team members to maintain high editorial standards, and leading initiatives to foster growth, inspire creativity, and reach new audiences. Additionally, the Executive Editor will analyze data to inform future strategies, identify editorial partnership opportunities, and coordinate content-creation initiatives.
Candidates should have proficiency in English, with additional languages considered a plus. A minimum of five years of experience in a newsroom, content agency, creative agency, or digital media property is required, along with at least two years of team management experience. A deep passion for journalism, particularly at the local level, social media, and digital marketing is essential. Expertise in media mapping, collaboration with external partners, and a solid understanding of the current social media landscape are also important. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to inspire creative teams, and a data-driven, business-savvy approach with superb writing skills and creative flair.
