Event Specialist
Monks is seeking a highly organized and proactive Event Specialist to support the planning and execution of marketing events across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on event experience who thrive in fast-paced environments and are looking to grow into a regional event management position. The Event Specialist will play a key role in delivering high-quality events, supporting both owned and partner events, while working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Key responsibilities include supporting end-to-end planning and execution of events across APAC, coordinating vendors, venues, and production partners, managing logistics such as production, shipping, and on-site setup, preparing detailed run-of-show documents, and ensuring smooth on-site delivery. The role also involves troubleshooting and problem-solving during live events, acting as a key point of contact for event organizers and partners, coordinating with internal teams, supporting speaker logistics including scheduling, briefing, and materials, and ensuring alignment across all stakeholders leading up to events. Additionally, the Event Specialist will consolidate event outcomes including attendance and leads, support post-event reporting and internal recaps, coordinate with internal teams to ensure proper follow-up on leads, and assist in repurposing event content for marketing and communications.
The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in event management, marketing, or agency environments, with proven experience supporting or executing events such as conferences, brand activations, or corporate events. Strong organizational and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are required, and the candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred qualifications include experience in an agency or experiential marketing environment, exposure to regional (APAC) events, a basic understanding of marketing, branding, or content production, experience working with cross-functional teams such as PR, social, and content, and familiarity with tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, and Adobe Photoshop.
