Event Manager - Portland
Fever is seeking a part-time Event Manager to oversee its Candlelight Concerts in Portland, Oregon. This role involves managing weekly events held on Wednesdays and Fridays, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. The Event Manager will serve as the primary on-site contact, coordinating with staff and communicating directly with the Fever Originals manager.
Key responsibilities include training and supervising event staff in tasks such as ticket validation, guest seating, and venue setup. The Event Manager will also manage event logistics, including scheduling, inventory tracking, and transportation of supplies to and from venues. Additionally, they will handle guest lists, oversee opening and closing remarks, and provide weekly reports to project managers detailing event outcomes and feedback.
Candidates should have at least one year of experience in event management or a related field, with a strong passion for live music and event coordination. Exceptional customer service skills, experience leading on-site teams, and the ability to perform under pressure are essential. Familiarity with AV and PA systems is desirable, and the use of a personal laptop is required. A valid driver's license is strongly preferred for transporting event supplies.
This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $25, with shifts varying from 4 to 8 hours per day, up to a maximum of 29 hours per week. The initial contract is for six months, with potential for extension. While some holiday work may be required, concerts will not be held on Thanksgiving or Christmas.
