Equities Risk Manager
Point72 Asset Management is seeking an Equities Risk Manager to join its Risk Management & Quantitative Research team in Dubai. This role is integral to the firm's investment process, focusing on efficient risk management, performance attribution, and enhancing investment strategies. The Risk team is dedicated to identifying opportunities for improved risk management, investment behavior, and portfolio construction to deliver superior risk-adjusted performance.
As an Equities Risk Manager, you will collaborate with portfolio managers to optimize portfolio construction, ensuring efficient and deliberate risk-taking at both individual and firm levels. Your responsibilities will include actively managing the firm's risk exposures, participating in capital allocation to maximize risk-adjusted returns, and developing innovative risk management approaches and tools. Additionally, you will enhance the firm's understanding of performance by creating intuitive frameworks for performance attribution and educating internal stakeholders on these frameworks.
Ideal candidates will have over five years of experience as a risk manager or portfolio manager, focusing on hedged discretionary or systematic equity strategies. A deep understanding of equities risk management, portfolio construction (including multi-factor models and optimization techniques), and trading (such as slippage analysis) is essential. Proficiency in quantitative finance and statistical programming tools, particularly SQL and Python, is required. Strong communication skills are crucial for articulating complex ideas to senior management and portfolio managers. Candidates should demonstrate intellectual curiosity, a proactive approach to identifying opportunities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to the highest ethical standards are also important.
Point72 offers a competitive annual base salary range of $250,000 to $300,000, excluding discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
