Okta is seeking an Enterprise Architect for Finance & Legal Systems to lead the design and implementation of technology strategies across these functions. This role is part of Okta's Technology, Data, and Intelligence (TDI) team, which focuses on accelerating the company's scale and growth through innovative technology solutions. The Enterprise Architect will work closely with Finance, Legal, IT, Data, Compliance, Security, and Engineering teams to modernize and optimize core enterprise systems, including NetSuite or Oracle (ERP), Conga, Anaplan, and Xactly.

The primary responsibilities include defining target-state architectures for Finance and Legal applications, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and growth objectives. The role involves leading the design and implementation of end-to-end architectural solutions, developing multi-year roadmaps for system modernization, and integrating identity-first security principles. Additionally, the Enterprise Architect will architect and implement AI/ML-driven solutions to optimize finance and legal processes, such as predictive forecasting and intelligent reconciliation. Collaboration with various teams to translate business objectives into scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions is also a key aspect of this role.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. A TOGAF or similar Enterprise Architecture certification is a plus. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of software engineering experience, including significant time as an Architect or Principal in ERP Systems (Oracle/Netsuite/SAP), FP&A Systems (Anaplan), and/or CLM systems (Aptus/Conga/Ironclad). Excellent storytelling and communication skills are essential, as is experience with multiple ERP full-cycle implementations. A deep understanding of finance business processes, such as Order to Cash, Record to Report, and Contract Life Cycle Management within Legal Operations, is required. Hands-on experience architecting functional and technical solutions within major business applications, with specific expertise in NetSuite (or Oracle), Aptus/Conga (or IronClad), Anaplan, Coupa, Scout, and tax engines like Avalara, Vertex, or OneSource, is also necessary.

The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay area is between $224,000 and $336,000 USD.
